Conai: One thing led to another. Incoming cuts on Conai tax

Conai is studying a cut of the single contribution (188 € / tonne) to be paid for the consumption and use of packaging made of plastics. More likely a first contribution diversification will be applied by next October to those who will use packaging films made up of “most recyclable” structures.

A technical meeting is opened at the National Consortium of packaging, which promote and reward companies that will make more eco-friendly choices to pack products.

The recyclability of your product will allow you to save money and help the planet.

Ethics and sustainability: films always more recyclable

There is not only the fourth industrial revolution in action, rather we must point out that this change is also dictated by the change of consumer species. As well as the forth revolution, today many changes can be related to the transformation of consumers.

In this case Bioplast research is orientated towards a diversification of products, always more eco-friendly. Final consumers are careful concerning the raw materials used, the reputation of producer, the brand and the sustainability. It is no longer the time when a brand owner can say “I impose this product on the market”.Consumers are very attentive to so many dynamics such as the judgments of hundreds of influencers who evaluate, criticize and approve or bust a product, and this affects consumer purchasing choices.

We, let’s do our part. We are producing more and more films with structures suitable for the recyclability of the casing once used, by using more sustainable raw materials.

New opa and pet free films

The search of new eco-friendly products never ends. Bioplast has included in its range “fresh pasta” films, the so-called “OPA FREE” and “PET FREE” films. The development of those new laminates allows the plastic recyclability and they are appropriate for many films which are stressed by thermal cycles with an elevate barrier of oxygen and water vapour , and they guarantee the biggest resistance to pricking.

In the substance we have removed from fresh pasta packaging, polyamides and polyester because they are raw materials which don’t allow the recyclability of pack.

Today, more and more pasta producers are opting for environmental sustainability. It is a duty towards future generations and, in the meantime, it has economics advantages.

SIAL Paris 2016, presented new films

The Sial of Paris is always a great event. The “International Food Exhibition” also this year hosted thousands of visitors from all over the world looking for new products, technologies and experiences to improve our food world. A moment of extraordinary importance helpful to meet buyers and manufacturers.

But this year was special for us, because we presented to the market the expansion of the product range. “Paper-look, cold seal, hot melt and paper with a window” are only a part of the new films that we offer to our clients (manufacturers of pasta, confectionery, …). Product innovation starts from consumers research, more and more demanding and selective and from the sustainability chosen for company mission, with eco-friendly, compostable and biodegradable products.

And of course all this must be combined with a high-quality processing and printing of the film that has a special meaning for marketing managers committed to best present their products on the shelves of stores.

“We are pleased with the great enthusiasm found in the Paris trade fair thanks to the new Bioplast production offer – says Marco Gambardella, senior account manager of the company – so many contacts and many new sales opportunities throughout Europe make our film a synonym of guarantee and reliability not only in the domestic market but also in the EU»

Traceability, marketing and safety: the film comes digitized

It was brought forward to Cibustec, the “Exhibition of Food Technology”, a digital technology innovation on flexible packaging presented by Bioplast, Sada Packaging and Cellografica Gerosa, and immediately appreciated by the new generation of consumers, the so-called prosumer, users increasingly attentive to the dynamics that lead to the realization of the products you want to buy. The well-known event, which over the last year has seen an influx of about 35 thousand workers, of which 40% from abroad, has been an important showcase to announce what will be, in the coming months, the flagship product of Bioplast range.

stealthcodeIn practice, a team of chemists and engineers, have made what was a market need, both from the consumer that the producing companies. A new way to communicate, to inform and to trace the product through the “digitization” of the film used to protect it. The new project is called StealthCode literally camouflaged code, hidden to the human eye in the packaging graphics, it allows you to enter many additional information. In fact, on the packaging remain all those mandatory by law and useful to the manufacturer to identify it graphically, but for those who want, by scanning with the camera of your smartphone app StealthCode activated, the user will be directed to a landing page of brand owners . All this will allow marketing managers to profile more and more, analyze the consumer, and also improve the products as the possibility of immediate exchange of information and tips that you will have with the consumer. This without the addition of any type of paint and / or ink, and you can also replace the unsightly and duplicated codes for the happiness of marketing departments who will enjoy larger surfaces on the packaging for the messages to the customer and for the graphic elements, and for the safety of consumers and producers, being the StealthCode technology less invasive and safer for the promotion, communication and traceability of products. “It’s a technology that have many advantages and I find it very important for the interaction of communication through the packaging among brand owners, consumer and GDO” says Marco Gambardella of Bioplast.
